Bell at St. Peter's Episcopal Church in LouisvilleDear People of the Diocese:

On behalf of St. Peter's Church it is my privilege to invite you to the 180th Diocesan Convention on February 22-23, 2008. In 2008 St. Peter's will celebrate its Fiftieth Anniversary, and it is an honor to launch the year's celebration with you as our guests for convention.

The theme for this year's convention is "Witness to Christ, through Worship, Study, Fellowship, Evangelism, Social Justice and Service." Along with the worship and business of our diocesan community, the convention will offer several workshops that will enhance the ministry of our people and give practical and helpful tools for you to take home to your parishes and ministries.

Our neighboring Roman Catholic parish, Incarnation Catholic Church at 2229 Lower Hunters Trace, just a short drive off Dixie Highway, will be the site of registration and all meetings and worship on Friday. Holy Eucharist will begin at 4:00 on Friday evening with clergy vesting in alb and purple stoles. After the liturgy, the evening will shift to the Hilton Garden Inn Louisville Airport, 2735 Crittenden Drive, for the banquet.

The Saturday site for the legislative session, workshops, worship, and exhibits will be at St. Peter's Church, 8110 St. Andrews Church Road. Worship that morning at St. Peter's will be the service of Morning Prayer. The clergy will not vest for that service. Parking for Saturday will be at St. Peter's and also at Christian Academy of Louisville, Southwest Campus with Miller Transportation buses to assist in travel from that parking site to St. Peter's.

Links may be found on the right side of this page to information about hotel reservations, directions to Church of the Incarnation, St. Peter's Church, and (for Saturday overflow parking) Christian Academy of Louisville, Southwest Campus at 8307 St. Andrews Church Road. Please have your registration in to the Diocesan office by January 17, 2008. We look forward to having you as our guests.

In Christ,

Larry C. Minter
